Two men were injured, one of them critically, when their Honda CRX  crashed into a tree this evening.

The accident, near the old Fino showroom at Mriehel, happened at around 11.30 p.m.

The police said an 18-year-old man was critically injured while a 19-year-old was injured but is in a stable condition. Both are from Sta Venera.

Part of the Honda disintegrated with the force of impact and hit a Ford Fiesta. A man and a woman, 26 of San Gwann, were not injured.
