The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry has signed an agreement with the Tunisian Union of Industry, and the Tunisian Employers Association for Industry, Commerce and Handicrafts to boost and diversify bilateral economic exchanges. The agreement also aims to set up two business councils.

The Maltese-Tunisian Business Council will be established in Malta under the auspices of the Malta Chamber and seeks to organise locally-based businessmen who are interested in networking to promote business between the two countries. Simultaneously, UTICA will set up a Tunisian-Maltese Business Council in Tunisia. The agreement was signed by Michael Farrugia of the Chamber's internationalisation committee, and during a visit by a business mission to Tunisia.

The trade delegation's visit was organised by Malta Enterprise and supported by the Malta Chamber.

HSBC, Bank of Valletta, CreditInfo Malta and Regus Malta are supporters of Malta Chamber's internationalisation efforts.
