Two insecticides have been withdrawn from the Maltese market because of a chemical risk.

The insecticides, both in powder form are Ciak, produced by Agrimix and Labgarden-Z, produced by Sole Verde, both of which are imported from Italy.

Ciak was withdrawn because its active substance was fenitrothion and Labgarden-Z because its active substance was diazinon. Both substances were not authorised by the European directive concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market.

Both products were voluntarily withdrawn from the market and the products in stock were being destroyed.
