A technical fault developed on the thrusters of the MV Malita this morning leading to the 6.30am trip from Cirkewwa and the 7am trip from Mgarr being cancelled, Gozo Channel said.

Chairman Joe Cordina said the fault was repaired within an hour and the ship reentered service immediately.

During the repairs, the company said it took all the necessary measures and operated its third vessel, loading all vehicles stranded at Mgarr on the MV Ta’ Pinu and the MV Gaudos simultaneously.

The service is now back to normal.
