Two French men who live in Malta were this morning put on probation for two years after they admitted to damaging a car while drunk and threatening three police officers.

Marc Mehanni, 19, who lives in Gzira and Pierre Antoine Pasquis, 22, who lives in St Julian's admitted to, yesterday at around 6.30 a.m. in St George's Bay, St Julian's jumping on a Suzuki Alto owned by a rental company and disobeying police orders.

The court ordered the two men to pay €500 in damages to the rental car company.

Lawyer Simon Micallef Stafrace appeared for the French men.
