A 17-year-old boy and a 24-year-old man were yesterday granted bail after they pleaded not guilty to stealing under €2,300 in St Paul's Bay.

Jeffrey Cassar of Mosta and the teenager, who cannot be named because he is a minor, denied stealing the money on June 27.

Magistrate Edwina Grima also heard Mr Cassar plead not guilty to disobeying two police officers on Wednesday afternoon in Buġibba and relapsing.

They were granted bail against a personal guarantee of €2,300 each.

Police Inspector Therese Sciberras prosecuted.

Lawyer David Gatt was defence counsel.
