Christopher Shepherd and Joseph Camilleri were yesterday remanded in custody after they were accused of teaming up to steal from a private residence and from a person, and of having broken the conditions of a suspended sentence, the police said.

Mr Shepherd was also accused of stealing from a vehicle.

Police Inspector Daniel Zammit prosecuted.

On Saturday, Noel Pepe, 28, admitted before Magistrate Michael Mallia of misappropriating items worth €712.90 and was granted bail against a personal guarantee of €1,000.

Police Inspectors Keith Arnaud and Anne Marie Micallef prosecuted.

Also on Saturday, Clayton Baldacchino, 24, pleaded not guilty of attacking or resisting the police, of causing slight injuries to an officer, of threatening the police and of breaking the peace.

Magistrate Mallia granted bail to Mr Baldacchino against a personal guarantee of €1,000 and a deposit of €500.
