Four people were injured when two cars overturned near each other at Triq ir-Rabat, Nadur last night, the police said. 

The first incident took place at 4.45 am when a Toyota Celica hit the wall and overturned as it was being driven from Victoria to Nadur.

As an ambulance was about to drive off the scene, another car, a Hyundai Accent crashed into a Volkswagen Polo and into the Toyota Celica before also overturning.

The injured were a 22-year-old man from Kercem, who was driving the Toyota, accompanied by a 14-year-old girl, and a 28-year-old man from Nadur, who was driving the Hyundai, accompanied by a 23-year-old woman from Victoria.
