Nestle' Malta has announced the voluntary withdrawal of two batches of Cerelac baby food. 

They are Cerelac 3 Cereal 24X400G – Batch 70090291 Exp : 07/2018 Weight: 400g and Cerelac Mixed Fruits 24X400G – Batch 63580291 Exp : 06/2018 Weight: 400g.

"Following the finding of elevated levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs1) in one lot of Cerelac which is not sold in Malta, Nestlé has decided, as a precautionary measure, to voluntarily withdraw from the trade all other products that could potentially have been affected," the company said. 

"There is no health risk for babies who have already consumed these batches
of the product.

"We have voluntarily withdrawn these 2 products from the shelves as a precautionary measure, because Nestlé is not making any compromise regarding its high quality and safety standards," it added.
