Three turtles that have been under rehabilitation for several months have  been released back to the sea.

The three turtles were called Aladeen, Jerry and Ciccio by their carers. They were reported to Nature Trust (Malta) Wildlife Rescue team by either fishermen, members of the public or Birdlife Malta after being injured.

Aladeen was brought in with a hook in its mouth.  Jerry was very swollen and could not dive, while Ciccio had problems in diving.

Nature Trust (Malta) Executive President Vincent Attard, thanked all those who helped to rescue these turtles  and assisted in their rehabilitation

.Any injured turtles should be reported on  9942 2085 and 99422086 or MEPA on Emergency Number 99210404

.Two more turtles are due to be released in the coming weeks.
