A Tunisian man who threatened his wife with a knife during an argument on how to treat their children has been released on bail and ordered not to speak to her in any way.

The man, 59, Qormi, pleaded not guilty to holding his wife against her will on August 25 at around 8.30pm, threatening her with a knife, slightly injuring her, illegal possession of a knife and relapsing.

Magistrate Edwina Grima granted him bail against a personal guarantee of €10,000.
