Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is parting ways with his controversial campaign manager in a split reported first by the New York Times.
Lewandowski has been with the Trump campaign since the beginning of his White House bid.
He grabbed headlines in March after he was charged with battery, accused of manhandling a female reporter in Florida during a campaign event.
Police released video of the incident that showed the reporter walking alongside Trump, and Lewandowski grabbing her arm and pulling her backward as she tried to question Trump.
Back then, Trump said he would stick by his man.
His removal from the campaign is reportedly part of Trump's new strategy, as he pivots towards the general election in November.
