Maltese destinations are continuing to fare well on travel review website TripAdvisor, with two more receiving Certificates of Excellence.
The Waterfront Hotel in Sliema has been rewarded for the third year in a row for outstanding standards in hospitality, facilities and services in its category.
And ELC Ltd is celebrating winning the award for the Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta.
The Certificate of Excellence recognises hospitality businesses that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.
It is awarded on the basis of user-generated content, which includes review ratings, overall rating and the quantity of updated reviews.
“It is a great satisfaction for us to be rated so highly by our guests,” said The Waterfront Hotel’s sales and marketing manager Charmaine Camilleri.
“This award acknowledges the professionalism and hard work of all The Waterfront staff to ensure that our guests are given the best treatment and that their stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.”
Likewise, an ELC spokesman said the certificate was thanks to the dedication and professionalism of its employees.
“Thirteen years after the PPP started operating, I think everyone agrees that it was a success story as it is providing added value to the beauty of our country, as well as the impact it leaves on tourists visiting Malta,” he said.
