Tribù:Ten promises to be this year's main summer event, with headliners Planet Funk expected to give a memorable live concert. The Anglo-Italian outfit will be arriving in Malta on Saturday, the eve of Tribù:Ten, together with six tonnes of equipment and 17 crew members.

Silvio Bartolo, organiser of Tribù:Ten, said preparations are in full swing for Sunday's event, which will kick off with the Planet Funk concert in Gianpula fields, and continue at Gianpula and Tattingers.

The event will end with an after hours party at Amazonia. Gianpula and Tattingers are both licensed to remain open till 4 a.m. and ample parking space will be available at Gianpula.

Doors of the Gianpula fields open at 8 p.m. and Planet Funk take to the stage at 9.30 p.m. The band is expected to perform a number of its hits, including Chase the Sun, Who said, Inside all the People and The Switch.

Gianpula will host the House Mansion, with the headline act being the world-popular Erick Morillo, with a special tenth anniversary four-hour set. DJ Steve Caesar will support Morillo.

Tattingers will host the Techno Arena, and the international DJs there will be Luke Slater, Justin Berkovi and Scan 7. Thanks to Tribu's customised, branded buses, partygoers can opt to move from one venue to another without any parking hassles.

After 4 a.m., with the same Tribù:Ten ticket, partygoers can move to Amazonia where live percussionists and psychedelic trance music will welcome them.

Mr Bartolo said that more than 75 per cent of the tickets have already sold and urged the public to get hold of their tickets early not to be disappointed. Meanwhile, the last few VIP tickets are available exclusively from Exit! in Valletta.
