David Trezeguet was relieved to end a long scoring drought to help Juventus beat Lazio 2-0 on Saturday.
"To have scored tonight gives me a lot of confidence for the future," said Trezeguet.
"Last season I suffered a lot because of injury that ruled me out for several months and because of different reasons, I wasn't able to contribute to the team.
"But my team-mates have helped me a lot and today I feel as though I have returned to play at a high level.
"I was able to play from the start and the team played a great match."
Trezeguet also hinted he may reconsider plans to leave Juventus.
"I'll rethink about it," the 31-year-old told La Gazzetta Sportiva.
"I'll talk about it with my family. These fans and this team are the best."
