The Resources Ministry is to hold a tree-planting day at Ghajn Tuffieha on Sunday as part of its 34U campaign.

Members of the public are being invited to plant trees and take part in a range of activities near the scouts site at Ghajn Tuffieha between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Each tree will be tagged with the name of whoever plants it, and participants can also take pictures with 'their' tree.

The 34U campaign has so far seen the planting of 115,000 indigenous trees, of which 20,000 were planted at Ta' Qali, 14,500 at Xrobb l-Għagin, 13,000 in Maghtab and 12,000 in Salina. 13,000 were planted in Mellieha and 10,000 in Marsascala.
