Transport Malta this afternoon expressed solidarity with traffic expert Major Peter Ripard and Chief Officer Konrad Pule’, who were injured in a bomb explosion at the MT office at Sa’ Maison Hill.

The Authority said army experts had searched all its offices and security had been stepped up, in association with the police.

The Authority said tomorrow would be a normal working day and it was urging employees and visitors not to let this cowardly attack condition their activities.

Psychological support is being offered to all Transport Malta employees, particularly those who were at the Sa’ Maison office at the time of the blast.

The Authority expressed confidence in the police and augured that their investigations would be concluded quickly.

Earlier, the Ministry of the Infrastructure and Transport expressed solidarity with the injured men and with the Authority. Solidarity was also expressed by the GWU and the UHM.

The bomb, whih blew up at 10 a.m., is believed to have been lowered to a window of Mr Pule's office from a garden on the hill behind the Transport Malta building. The two men are believed to have been injured by shattered glass.

Major Ripard suffered grievous leg injuries. Mr Pule's injuries are less serious.
