Malta Transport Authority (ADT) employees will receive an increase in their salaries and benefit from better working conditions after a collective agreement was yesterday signed between the authority and the Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin (UĦM).

The agreement came into effect retroactively from January 2007 and will last till December 2010, the union said in a statement. ADT employees will also benefit from the introduction of family friendly policies, a qualification allowance and an improvement in vacation leave practices.

The agreement was signed after months of negotiations between the UĦM, ADT and the Collective Bargaining Unit within the Finance Ministry.
