The Melita FC youth nursery has just held a week-long training camp in Belgrade, Serbia, for its players in the U-9, U-11 and U-16 age brackets.

The 70-strong Melita FC contingent was made up of players, coaches, club representatives and accompanying parents. They were led by head coach Marko Glumac.

During the camp, a tournament was organised for the U-9 and U-11 teams. They played teams from clubs and football schools from Belgrade. These were FC Rad, OFK Belgrade, SF Pionir and SF Fair Play. In both competitions, the Melita teams made it all the way to the finals. However, they finished on the losing end, albeit by marginal scores.

The U-16 players were involved in five friendly matches against Belgrade-based teams.

These included FC Red Star, FC Rad, OFK Belgrade, FC Cukaricki and FC Vozdovac. Although these were tough matches for Melita U-16, Glumac's boys played well and enjoyed every game.
