The panic and fear of clogged and closed roads dissipated into thin air this morning as several roads were clear of traffic making it a breeze to get to the office.

Readers said there was absolutely no traffic at Regional Road, Aldo Moro Road, Marsa Junction, Sta Lucija Avenue and Tal-Barrani By-pass, roads synonymous with traffic.

On driver said that the drive from Santa Venera to Hal Far took him 15 minutes.

Trips from several localities to Valletta took half the time or less they usually take. From Marsascala, the trip was a mere 25 minutes, from Sliema and Birkirkara 10 minutes, and from Mgarr it was 20 minutes,against the usual 75.

Roads were still being marked this morning with workers seen at the Sta Lucija Roundabout and tal-Barrani junction.

Most of Valletta's streets will be closed from this afternoon but the police revised the original notice which would have forced other arterial roads shut as the dignitaries were being shuttled around.

Court cases have been put off and several offices remained shut down ahead of the two-day EU migration summit.

Air Malta this morning urged customers to keep in mind possible road closures and traffic when they plan their transfer to the airport..
