The Minibuses Cooperative this morning appealed for understanding by the public, saying that its drivers were being hard-pressed to keep up with their schedules because of traffic congestion.

The cooperative said its members were doing their best to give a good service and renew their fleet of vans. However they could not always be punctual because of congestion caused by road works and the increased number of cars on the roads "for reasons known to everyone".
