A traditional Gozitan wedding was re-enacted at this year's Qala International Folk Festival. The ceremony started at Bishop Michael Buttigieg Square and then proceeded to the main square where a typical festin was held. Most of the re-enactors were from Qala residents who were more involved in this yearly event. Two folk groups from Portugal and Serbia also participated in the events, which were spread over four days. The festival also showcased local art and craft, including lace, knitting, ganutell, stained glass, woodwork, stonework and pottery.
