The MSE Equity Price Index eased minimally lower to 4,454.543 points dragged by Lombard Bank shares which also offset the marginal uplift in HSBC on the stock exchange on Thursday. Meanwhile, BOV and FIMBank traded unchanged.

Activity in Bank of Valletta plc rebounded as 204,000 shares changed hands across sixteen deals having a total value of €0.38 million representing 90% of today’s total value traded. The bank’s share price remained unchanged at the €1.85 level.

Meanwhile shallow volumes in Lombard Bank Malta plc as the equity was forced 2.2% lower back to the €2.25 level across two deals totalling 1,820 shares.

On the other hand, HSBC Bank Malta plc edged 0.3% higher to recapture the €1.755 level across six deals totalling 12,546 shares.

The only other active equity, FIMBank plc ended the session unchanged at the USD0.69 level on a single trade of 26,801 shares.

The RF MGS Index trended lower for the second consecutive session with a further 0.4% drop to a fresh 8-week low as eurozone yields remained above the 0.4% level.
