With this website it is easy to know which countries the money you have passed through because users can enter serial numbers of their euro notes.

More than 120,000 persons from all over the world enter euro notes which are in their possession to see if the same notes end up in someone else's possession.

Around 40,000 banknotes are entered everyday to the system, and from these, around 250 already have been entered on the site by someone else previously.

There have already been instances where euro notes which have been in circulation in Malta have been found by other members, both Maltese and foreigners, in other European countries, the website said.
