I always read The Times on the internet and have recently noticed the awareness about the state of the streets.

We have been coming to Malta for a number of years now and my wife even served at Bighi Hospital in the 1970s. I know that the government has tried a clean Malta campaign and from what I have seen over the years has failed because of the lack of interest of "some" of the population. You are not alone but it is a shame that it does stand out so much.

We are returning again soon for our annual holiday but like last year we will be staying on Comino because it is a clean and nicer environment, with very nice hotel staff. If like us other people staying on Comino do not go out to Valletta, Sliema and other places the economy will be affected eventually.
