Tourist arrivals, guest nights and expenditure this year had already surpassed last year's records at the end of November, the Parliamentary Secretariat for Tourism said.

Figures issued by the National Statistics Office this morning showed that 1,357,971 had visited Malta this year between January and November. This was 21,630 more than in the whole of last year.

Tourists spent 11,192,888 nights in Malta, 53,062 more than in the whole of last year and they spent €1.19 billion, €60 million more than in the whole of last year, the secretariat said.
