Malta will face Sweden, Turkey, Greece and Poland in Group Seven of the 2013-15 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying round.

The draw was held this morning at UEFA’s Nyon headquarters.

Malta vice-president Alex Manfre, coach Ray Farrugia and Malta U-21 team manager Rodney Pisani were present for the draw.

Malta and Sweden were also in the same group in the last U-21 qualifying campaign that saw Farrugia’s team finish with a total of five points.

Malta lost both games against Sweden, 1-0 at home and 4-0 away.

The Czech Republic will host the 2015 UEFA U-21 finals.Group stage matches can get under way from March 22, 2013.
