Juventus and Roma had to settle for a share of the points tonight in a lively 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico.

Vincenzo Iaquinta put the hosts in front in the 35th minute, but Francesco Totti equalised for Roma from the spot at the end of the first half.

The draw sees Juve climb to fourth in Serie A, two places and one point better off than their opponents.

In today's other match, Fiorentina moved up to ninth thanks to a 1-0 win over struggling Cesena.

Alberto Gilardino scored the only goal of the game in the 59th minute to ease the pressure on their coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and instead put his opposite number Massimo Ficcadenti's job on the line.

Cesena remain second from bottom, but a win for Bari over Parma tomorrow would see them slip back down to the foot of the standings.
