Oil trading giant Totsa Total has filed a judicial protest against Enemalta over the corporation's decision to exclude it from bidding for oil procurement contracts pending the outcome of investigations into the alleged oil procurement scandal.

The company said it as in no way involved in, or aware of any wrongdoing on any contract awarded to it by Enemalta.

Furthermore, to date, no charge had been made against it.

It said the Enemalta's decision was discriminatory, abusive and illegal. The fact that the decision was also released to the press was also damaging to the company's image and reputation.

Dr Stefano Filletti is representing Total.
