In this world where one reads so many complaints about services it is nice to be able to write a letter of congratulations.

My wife and I recently returned to the UK after a holiday in Malta. The assistance provided by Air Malta was without doubt the best we have ever received.

On arrival in Malta we were met by Manuel and his team on the aircraft who had a wheelchair for my wife, took us through passport control, collected our luggage and escorted us to our taxi.

On our departure from Malta we arrived at the airport to find something unique.

There is a sign where you can press a button for assistance. This we did and within five minutes an employee (Freddie) appeared with a wheelchair for my wife and escorted us through to the baggage check-in and onto the aircraft.

It was in reception that we met Manuel again who recognised us after four weeks and wished us a pleasant flight home.

It is a great comfort to know that there are people there to help when it is needed. We hope to see them again in December. Thanks to everyone once again for their assistance.
