Special container trucks bearing multi-million euro cars docked in Grand Harbour this morning, bringing the star vehicles for Sunday's Paqpaqli ghall-Istrina show.

The precious cargo included a Lamborghini Reventon, one of only 20 in the world, a Lamborgini Murcielago Roadster, the latest McLaren F1 car and a Mercedes Benz SLS AMG.

BMW Group Malta have also shipped to Malta the equipment to be used by world streetbike freestyle rider and four-times World Stunt Riding Champion, Chris Pfeiffer, who will be giving shows throughout the day on Sunday. He arrives on Saturday.

The motorshow will by by far the biggest ever held in Malta.

Organiser Tonio Darmanin said that 850 cars and hundreds of motorcycles will be on show, with 65 motoring clubs taking part.

The range of cars on display will be as varied as it can be - from sports cars to classic and vintage as well as offroaders and superbly modified vehicles.

The show will also features displays throughout the day.

The show will be held at Lufthansa Tecknick at MIA. Gates open at 9 a.m. All proceeds go for L-Istrina charity show.

Mr Darmanin thanked Express Trailers and Sullivan Maritime for helping transport the cars.
