These are the lead stories in today's newspapers.

The Times of Malta leads with a story questioning the government's lack of urgency in debating a Bill reforming the way members of the judiciary are nominated. Justice Minister Owen Bonnici had described the Bill as "urgent" as recently as February.

The Malta Independent main story concerns Bahrija residents' protests against road project delays. Residents want authorities to provide them with alternative routes if the project is not completed on schedule.

L-Orizzont leads with news of a judicial protest calling for the legalisation of the morning-after pill.

In-Nazzjon reports that despite a lot of pomp surrounding the publication of contracts related to Gozo General, Karin Grech and St Luke's hospitals, the fact that Gozo's only hospital is being privatised has been buried.
