These are the main stories from today's newspaper front pages:

Times of Malta reports new Malta Financial Services Authority’s chairman, John Mamo telling a parliamentary committee that Pilatus Bank issue was “a very big problem”. The secondary story quotes Transport Minister Ian Borg saying that “scandalous deals” involving public land would probably not have gone through had the present set-up been in place.

L-orizzont quotes Transport Minister Ian Borg demanding less inconvenience for motorists when roadworks are being carried out. 

In-Nazzjon reports that protests were growing against the company Henley & Partners in the Caribbean. It also reports that an inmate had revealed the name of the prison official who provided her with drugs. 

The Malta Independent also quotes Minister Ian Borg saying he had faith in the Planning Authority to follow the correct policy, but did not comment on the suspension of filling station applications.
