These are the main stories featured in Saturday's newspapers:

Times of Malta reports that the doctors’ union council has voted in favour of further and possibly harsher industrial action next week should negotiations with the government fail. It also reports that just under €30 million in direct orders were dished out by public entities falling under three ministers over the past two years,
according to information given in parliament.

In-Nazzjon reports that former MP Joe Debono Grech had an office at the Office of the Prime Minister. It also says that street artists faced an uncertain future. 

L-orizzont says obesity was leading to an increase in Caesarian interventions. A second story reports that 840 jobs were created in manufacturing in 2017.

The Malta Independent also reports that the MAM had voted for further strikes should talks fail. The newspaper also says that 584 IVF procedures were carried out since 2015.
