Good morning. These are the leading stories in this week's Sunday newspapers. 

The Sunday Times of Malta reports that Malta was spared two blackouts in October thanks to the interconnector, with the new Electrogas power plant running into trouble and experiencing faults. 

In a separate story, the newspaper quotes former FIAU official Jonathan Ferris as saying that his then-boss had stopped him from showing the magistrate looking into Egrant claims a full file about minister Konrad Mizzi. 

The Malta Independent on Sunday leads with a story linking Keith Schembri's wife to the lucrative IIP services sector. Mrs Schembri, the paper reports, facilitates the services through a company catering to the ultra-rich. 

The paper also notes that the government has not said anything about financing agreements for the Electrogas power station having been sealed. 

Malta Today reports that Finance Minister Edward Scicluna has said Malta was resist EU pressure to remove veto powers from issues relating to tax. The paper also reports on MEP David Casa's claims concerning Konrad Mizzi. 

Illum writes that Malta will not feature on a European Commission tax haven blacklist to be published next week. 

The newspaper also cites a report which found that state aid to Church schools has skyrocketed by €30 million, despite student numbers only rising by 3 per cent. 

It-Torċa carries an interview with William Agius, a man who is staring down the barrel of a long prison sentence for drug dealing for a crime he committed a decade ago. 

Kulħadd reports on Nationalist Party infighting, writing that a number of PN MPs wanted their party leader Adrian Delia to be summoned to answer questions about the European Parliament's Pana Committee.

The newspaper also writes that the PN will have to fork out €90,000 salaries for head of media Pierre Portelli and general secretary Clyde Puli, with Ivan Bartolo and Jean-Pierre Debono given €60,000 and €50,000 deals respectively.
