The controversial MEPs' visit to Malta dominated the front pages of most Maltese newspapers.
Times of Malta reported that the Europarliamentarians probing the state
of the rule of law in Malta returned to Brussels saying they were leaving the island even more concerned. It also reported that banks are awaiting the conclusions
of the four collective agreements between Air Malta and the unions before they could green light any new credit facilities needed by the airline.
In-Nazzjon carried a picture of the protests accompanying the MEPs' visit. It also reported that Parliamentary Secretary Sivio Schembri was supporting Minister Ian Borg in the eventual Labour Party leadership bid.
L-orizzont said that MEP Ana Gomez had confirmed the "hidden agenda" behind the delegation's visit. It also reported about a controversial proposal to integrate migrants in Malta.
The Malta Independent also reported that a truck driver who was caught on camera three times driving dangerously through Malta's roads had been denied bail.
