Good morning. The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers today.

Times of Malta reports on a surge in Air Malta's losses, which are reportedly up to €13 million.

It also reports that MEPs who are visiting Malta today and tomorrow for a rule of law investigation have asked for 'suitable' protection.

The Malta Independent reports that Economy Minister Chris Cardona had filed for the removal of garnishee orders against Daphne Caruana Galizia days after she was murdered.

In a secondary story, the paper reports that the PN has yet to say whether it intends to take disciplinary action against six of its MPs who defied the party whip and abstained from a vote on an IVF law.

In-Nazzjon dedicates much of its front page to calls for Minister Carmelo Abela to resign over claims by a former police inspector that he interfered in a police investigation.  In a secondary front page story, the paper asks if Keith Schembri will again avoid MEPs when they visit Malta today and tomorrow.

L-Orizzont reports on a court case in which the judge noted that the defendant had been used as a sort of drugs "guinea pig" by his father while growing up. The paper also writes that Malta has Europe's cheapest electricity, and reports on Minister Michael Farrugia's reply to a letter sent to him by the Caruana Galizia family.
