The following are the top stories in national newspapers today.

Times of Malta says couples who have entered into civil unions cannot register their union as a marriage because the legal notice bringing into force a law enacted more than three months ago has not yet been published. In another story, the newspaper says that according to the National Audit Office, a substantial number of Mater Dei Hospital outpatients are being fast-tracked by circumventing the booking procedure, while the rest have to wait more than eight months for their first appointment.

L-Orizzont says that 2,208 couples have obtained divorce since its introduction in Malta.

The Malta Independent says that one of the members of the Parole Board failed to attend a single meeting in the past two years.
