The following are the top stories in national newspapers today.

Times of Malta says Clyde Caruana, the head of JobsPlus, has warned that the economy will need almost 12,500 new workers next year but 2,000 vacancies will not be filled, meaning the economy could be losing €60 million. In another story, it says a strike by teachers on November 8 will be the culmination of 50 directives issued by their union, which termed government proposals for a collective agreement “an insult”.

The Malta Independent says Daphne Caruana Galizia’s blog servers have been handed over to the inquiring magistrate.

In-Nazzjon says that the bomb which killed the journalist was placed under her seat and the material used was TNT.

L-Orizzont says there are concerns about chemicals being used for fruit to last longer.
