Good morning, here is your daily summary of what is making the headlines in today's local papers.

The Times of Malta leads with news that police are likely to appeal the sentence given to Fr Charles Fenech, the former director of the Kerygma Movement who was handed a three-month suspended jail sentence after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a vulnerable woman.

The newspaper also highlights the police search for two men suspected of having stabbed a 59-year-old in bed in Santa Lucija yesterday.

The Malta Independent quotes PN MP Edwin Vassallo as saying that it is "time to move on" after the party decided not to punish him for defying the party whip and voting against marriage equality.

Maltese roads were more dangerous in 2015, the paper also reports, citing NSO figures which reveal a 7 per cent increase in traffic accidents.

L-Orizzont leads with a story about John Dalli, with the former EU Commissioner saying he suspects a "hidden hand" is at play in the cases against him and that he sees similarities between his situation and the Egrant scandal.

In-Nazzjon leads with a report about the stabbing in Santa Lucija, with the paper also quoting a PN press release which slammed the government for trying to take the credit for a housing scheme first introduced by a PN government in 2012.
