The following are the stories making the front pages of the Sunday newspapers.

The Sunday Times of Malta says David Thake, who just missed being elected to parliament, is mulling a bid for the PN leadership. 

MaltaToday leads with how Labour revved up the granting of Planning Authority permits in the run-up to the general election. It also says that Beppe Fenech Adami is not ruling out a new bid for PN deputy leader. 

The Malta Independent looks at the PN's finances and says its assets are in excess of €25 million.

Illum quotes Fr Hillary Tagliaferro insisting that the legalisation of any drugs would be a step in the wrong direction. It also says Simon Busuttil may reconsider retaining the PN leadership if the Egrant inquiry proves the claims about Michelle Muscat being the beneficial owner of the Panamanian company. 

It-Torċa said new judge Toni Abela is working fast and since February has decided half the backlog of cases allocated to him, deciding 30 cases. 

Il-Mument explains the 'journey' which has led the PN to back the gay marriages law. It alsfeatureses an interview with the new president of the Malta Union of Teachers.
