The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers today.

Times of Malta reports that Nexia BT, the audit firm that set up Panama companies for two top government officials, has been given a concession to promote the government’s residence programme in the Middle East. The story is also taken up in The Malta Independent.

l-orizzont leads with the announcement yesterday that the government had a €44m surplus in the first quarter of this year.

In-Nazzjon follows up its report yesterday and says further action is being taken against Malta-based companies allegedly having mafia connections in Italy.
