The Times of Malta warns that Malta has missed a deadline on moneylaundering - as well as carrying a story about Europe's fight against superbugs - bacteria which are resistant to most antibiotics and therefore pose a serious health threat.

Two very different stories in The Independent which reports that a Maltese was arrested in Pozzallo with 22 kilos of hard drugs, as well as a story that the Planning Authority was looking at the possibility of installing a roundabout at an accident black spot which had claimed a life less than two years ago.

More corruption news from In-Nazzjon which says that a case of match-fixing is being investigated by the police, while L-Orizzont takes a more positive tack with a story quoted from Politico on how effective the just-ended Maltese Presidency of the European Council was. It's second story was about the case of a man charged with trying to kill a baby - with the mother testifying that she did not believe this to be the case
