Times of Malta says that according to a European Environment Agency report, premature deaths due to air pollution in Malta have continued to rise, totalling 270 two years ago. In another story, the newspaper says that according to a judicial protest filed on Wednesday, church-owned land was abusively taken over by the government and excavated to build an access road to a new school in Marsascala.

The Malta Independent says that according to the proponents of a hotel at Saqqajja in Rabat, this would not affect the views of Mdina.
