The following are the main stories in Friday’s newspapers.

Times of Malta says a survey commissioned by the government found that one in every three adults went through phases when their income was not enough to meet living expenses. In another story, the newspaper says one of the Customs Department’s new sniffer dogs flagged a car that had just arrived in Malta from Sicily in which officers found 10 kilos of cannabis.

The Malta Independent says a finalised version of the Fuel Station Policy Review has been referred to the Planning Authority chief and was discussed on Tuesday but will not be implemented before next year.

L-Orizzont says X-rayed luggage at Malta International Airport will increase 10-fold with an X-ray van customs will be purchasing with the help of EU funds.
