This is a summary of the stories making front-page headlines in local newspapers this Sunday. 

The Sunday Times of Malta reports that two Home Affairs Ministry workers were given the unusual task of building a veranda at the house of minister Carmelo Abela back in 2015, with works coordinated by the minister's wife. 

The newspaper also reports that an official at the fisheries directorate is suspected of having tipped off diesel smugglers about police patrols, and that Malta's financial watchdog has its eye on Satabank and its compliance with anti-money laundering rules. 

The Malta Independent reports that local authorities have so far not filed a request to obtain a copy of data saved on Daphne Caruana Galizia's laptop. The laptop was handed to German police last month. 

The newspaper also reports that aides to Economy Minister Chris Cardona have closed ranks after facing accusations that SMS messages concerning FKK Acapulco which the minister's lawyer cited in court are fake. 

Malta Today writes that magistrate Aaron Bugeja has interviewed "hundreds" of people in connection with his investigation into Panama company Egrant. 

The newspaper also reports on results of a survey it carried out, with Joseph Muscat regaining ground over his rival Adrian Delia and voters highlighting traffic, corruption, environmental degradation and foreigners as their key concerns. 

It-Torċa writes that Air Malta will soon unveil two new routes, as it continues its strategy of expanding its route network.

Il-Mument splashes with a photo of the leaders of Malta's two main political parties and says Joseph Muscat has continued to refuse having a debate with Adrian Delia.
