Times of Malta says the suspension of six Maltese players by UEFA for match-fixing has been described as a 'hammer blow for Maltese football'. It also reports that the hospital is being prepared for children with flu.
MaltaToday says a young Maltese player who was given a life ban by European football governing body UEFA, has insisted he is innocent of match-fixing. It also reports that the Police Officers' Union is in favour of random drug tests on policemen.
In-Nazzjon in its front page focuses on a meeting which PN leader Adrian Delia had with environmental NGOs yesterday. Dr Delia said the PN wanted to be close to environmental NGOs to forge a sustainable environment for the future.
l-orizzont leads with the signing of a collective agreement between the GWU representing administrative workers, and Air Malta. The union's general secretary said the agreement meant better working conditions.
