The Malta Independent says the health minister yesterday offered to show the VGH contract to the doctors union. He also insisted that his ministry has not breached the collective agreement with doctors.
l-orizzont, in a story first published in KullHadd, says Opposition leader Adrian Delia wanted to remove Claudette Buttigieg from her role as deputy speaker but she told him he could not do that as she was elected to the post by the House. Delia had wanted to nominate Frederick Azzopardi.The newspaper also reports that €950,000 raised from the sale of passports will be used for new cardiac equipment at Mater Dei Hospital.
