These are the stories which made it to Thursday's front pages:

The Times of Malta reports that police checks on Christmas Eve did not find any drivers over the limit. It also reveals that the inmate who died shortly after being found unconscious in his cell had been complaining about chest pain.

The inmate's story also features on In-Nazzjon, which also carries the Opposition leader on stage at L-Istrina. It also reports that a woman following a drug rehabilitation programme at San Blas was not allowed to see her children at Christmas.

The Malta Independent reports that income from agriculture has dropped by almost 10 per cent between 2016 and 2017, and that over 250 people donated blood on Christmas Eve.

More soon.
