The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers today.

Times of Malta reports that Members of the European Parliament who recently came to Malta to investigate the state of the rule of law, have heard Maria Efimova – a former Pilatus Bank official – reiterate claims that the Prime Minister’s wife is the beneficiary owner of Egrant, a Panama-based company.

The Malta Independent says the army has filed an objection to a development application for a clubhouse in a football ground in Kirkop, which it uses. 

In-Nazzjon says Mr Justice Silvio Meli said a case before him, for the removal of Police Deputy Commissioner Silvio Valletta from the Daphne Caruana Galizia murder investigation was a sensitive one, and it would be better for the parties to reach agreement. 

l-orizzont and The Malta Independent both highlight criticism by Mr Justice Silvio Meli yesterday of UK lawyers' advice to the Caruana Galizia family, viewing it as an attack on Malta's sovereignty.

l-orizzont in its main story, however, focuses on the government's plan for the integration of migrants. 

MaltaToday says the Justice Minister is open to debate on whether William Agius should have been jailed three years for trafficking drugs 14 years ago, once he reformed himself more than 10 years ago,
